So last week, as you’re all aware, I was very lucky indeed to win 1st prize in the River Island Graduate Fashion Week competition!
I had the most amazing few days!
Me and my friend Laura travelled down on the Tuesday and arrived in London to find out hotel on High Street Kensington. Once settled in to our room, we headed off down Oxford Street for the obligatory shopping that one must do when in London!
We then headed in to Selfridges, up to the 3rd floor to the Cobella salon for our spray tan! I can honestly say I was rather nervous about the spray tan-I have never had one done before so was a) nervous about getting down to just a paper thong and b) about what I’d look like when I came out! Thankfully the girl doing it was very lovely indeed and put me at ease and did a lovely job of it allJ.
We then spent the rest of our Tuesday evening with friends of mine who now live in London (clearly all faked tanned up, we were in no state to go out anywhere lol)!
Wednesday morning started with our trip back to the salon for:
· An amazing facial
· Hair coloured
· Hair cut and styled
· Everyday make-up
We had an amazing time in the salon-all the staff were so lovely and very jealous of what we were having (which we worked out to be around £250 worth of treatments)!
We then headed to the River Island Store on Oxford Circus for my shopping spree-as you can imagine, I was extremely excited about this part of the day. I had a total of £250 to spend (and before you think I’m a meanie, I was more than willing to go half and half with my friend but she was having none of it and insisted I spent it all-so I bought her a gorgeous pair of shoes that she was drooling over hehe). I do have £50 left in vouchers, and I’m heading to my local store tomorrow where I’m sure they’ll be spent!
So, here’s what I bought...
*Beaded vest top*
*My favourite buy :-) *
*Make up bag*
After the shopping spree we headed off to Earls Court 2 to the fashion show, which was fantastic-so many talented graduates going in to the world of fashion!
We then swiftly headed back to the hotel, quick change and off out for an amazing dinner at Aqua Nueva and then out to Mahiki’s for a night full of dancing!
As you can imagine, Thursday morning was spent feeling rather sorry for myself feeling a little worse for wear!
As you can tell though, we both had an amazing few days and I’d like to thank River Island very much! I’m sure to be entering plenty more competitions from now on hehe!
