Bio Sculture Gel Nails

Today I treated myself and had my nails done - and I am so happy with the results!

I have read so much about gel nails and shellac etc recently and I really wanted to join in the party, but where I live, I wasn't too sure on the quality that I'd get. After speaking to a few people, I decided on a salon that did Bio Sculpture Gel Nails.

So what is Bio Sculpture: (taken from the Bio Sculpture website)

"Bio Sculpture offers a permanent nail colour that lasts for weeks without wearing or chipping. The advantage of Bio Sculpture Colour Gel is that you can easily change your nail colour by simply applying Bio Sculpture Varnish. Later the polish can be removed with Bio Sculpture’s specially formulated non-acetone cleanser and the permanent nail colour will be restored to its original state. When wiped with non-acetone cleanser the permanent colour will not be removed in the same fashion as nail varnish."

So, off I went this morning, not really knowing what to expect and I can honestly say I am so happy with what I had! The technician I had was absolutely lovely and answered ALL of the questions that I had - there were a lot!

The process took about 45mins in total and went like this (this is a very simple description of the process):

Gel applied - under a UV light - colour applied - under a UV light - another coat of colour applied - under a UV light - clear nail varnish applied! And voila, all done!

Now on to the colour I decided on:

There were so many colours on offer, I sat for a good while trying to decide, but decided on this colour in the end and I LOVE it! The technician said it's supposed to last around 4 weeks, but recommended going back after 3 weeks, to make sure it doesn't ever look messy!

And best of all, this cost me just £12.75! The salon I went to had a brilliant deal for October, buy one get one free so me & my friend spent the morning having a girly time! I will definitely be getting this done again - next months offer is a full set of nails and toes for £35!

As you can see, my nails aren't in the best of shapes, my 2 index fingers both snapped on the same day, bloody typical ey? But, I've been assured by the technician that the gel will help protect the nails and help them grow.

I'll update you with how it's looking after a few weeks - I'm very interested to see how it gets on!

  1. Oooh wow what a great deal :)
Love the colour you have chosen too

  2. I know-they do some really good deals! I can't stop looking at them hehe! X

  3. Ooh very nice colour and such a bargain at that price too! I used to get Bio Sculpture done at Nails Inc but it left my nails quite weak because of the Nails Inc removal :( I have since switched to Shellac and although I've only had it done once I'm a complete convert! I pay £15 so not badly priced either - have seen some extortionate prices else where (£30-45 :o crikey!)
Let us know how you get on with the nails :) xxx

  4. Oh no how did the remove it? The girl I went to said it's just a simple pop hands in nail varnish remover and wipe off with a cotton pad? Yeah, I've seen shellac for around £30 near me, so you've definitely got a bargain deal! I am loving it though - just looks so professional!I think around Christmas I'm going to get something sparkly :) XX

  5. Thank you lovely-I'm totally in love hehe! Will definitely be my new monthly habit :) X
