Primark haul

My primark isn't brilliant, at all, and I get so jealous when I see primark hauls full of beautiful things :(

But last Sunday, I was there, in true Zoe style for when doors opened, ready to grab myself what I could!

Unfortunately, as expected, there wasn't much on offer - I really need to get myself to a bigger store, but I did pick up a few little bits that I've been wanting and I thought I'd share my little haul with all you lovelies!

Cranberry Jumper: £14 (I think, or possibly £12); Burgundy snood (from men's section) £5
Christmas pj bottoms and slipper socks £5/ £3 (I think)
Owl Ring £1.50 - I couldn't leave this behind, I've seen it on so many hauls I just had to have it!

There are still quite a few things on my wishlist that I couldn't find in my local Primark and I will definitely be going back to stock up on some more of the jumpers - very cosy indeed!

What have you been buying recently?

Bio Sculture Gel Nails

Today I treated myself and had my nails done - and I am so happy with the results!

I have read so much about gel nails and shellac etc recently and I really wanted to join in the party, but where I live, I wasn't too sure on the quality that I'd get. After speaking to a few people, I decided on a salon that did Bio Sculpture Gel Nails.

So what is Bio Sculpture: (taken from the Bio Sculpture website)

"Bio Sculpture offers a permanent nail colour that lasts for weeks without wearing or chipping. The advantage of Bio Sculpture Colour Gel is that you can easily change your nail colour by simply applying Bio Sculpture Varnish. Later the polish can be removed with Bio Sculpture’s specially formulated non-acetone cleanser and the permanent nail colour will be restored to its original state. When wiped with non-acetone cleanser the permanent colour will not be removed in the same fashion as nail varnish."

So, off I went this morning, not really knowing what to expect and I can honestly say I am so happy with what I had! The technician I had was absolutely lovely and answered ALL of the questions that I had - there were a lot!

The process took about 45mins in total and went like this (this is a very simple description of the process):

Gel applied - under a UV light - colour applied - under a UV light - another coat of colour applied - under a UV light - clear nail varnish applied! And voila, all done!

Now on to the colour I decided on:

There were so many colours on offer, I sat for a good while trying to decide, but decided on this colour in the end and I LOVE it! The technician said it's supposed to last around 4 weeks, but recommended going back after 3 weeks, to make sure it doesn't ever look messy!

And best of all, this cost me just £12.75! The salon I went to had a brilliant deal for October, buy one get one free so me & my friend spent the morning having a girly time! I will definitely be getting this done again - next months offer is a full set of nails and toes for £35!

As you can see, my nails aren't in the best of shapes, my 2 index fingers both snapped on the same day, bloody typical ey? But, I've been assured by the technician that the gel will help protect the nails and help them grow.

I'll update you with how it's looking after a few weeks - I'm very interested to see how it gets on!

Grey Woolly knit jumper: New Look £19.99
Lace top: Next £22
Fleece lined winter socks: Matalan £4

I am absolutely loving the knitted jumper & these socks - AMAZING! I must buy lots more!

A tribute... Westlife!

Now I am positive that many of you right now don't care in the slightest that Westlife have announced today that they are splitting up, but for me, this is definitely and end of an era!

After 14 years, the 4 boys (now men) have decided to part ways after their farewell tour next year.

The boyfriend told me tonight when he got in, but being the meanie he is, I thought he was winding me up until I saw the news and if I'm completely honest, I'm quite upset! I was 11 when Westlife started and I have grown up with them - been to every tour, won competitions to see them and bought every single, album they've ever released.

Anyway, I will stop babbling on about my this - mainly because it is upsetting me and leave you with a pic I took at this years concert!

A very sad

Weekend 041

Friday: So tonight was spent having a very lazy night in and an early night-there was a busy weekend ahead so I made the most of doing nothing tonight and just caught up on lots and lots of youtube video's! I'm so rock 'n' roll spending a Friday night in watching youtube!

Saturday: Early morning ready for the trip down south to see one of the besties! The plan was to have a duvet day and watch back to back episodes of Dawson's Creek - like the good old uni days, but once there, we decided that a shopping trip would be a much better idea! I picked up a few lovely bit's, which I will post about separately! Then, it was home and ready for an evening full of wine (too much in my case), take-away and Xfactor  - I think all in all, a pretty good Saturday night in!

Sunday: Suprisingly, I didn't feel too bad this morning - although I think I managed to sleep through my hangover as I woke in the night feeling pretty rough! Anyway, once suitable full with tea, off we headed in to Banbury for a spot of lunch with the other bestie and my new fave man, baby Otto! I love him so much-he's just so chilled out!

I had such a lovely weekend! I was supposed to be joining lots of you lovelies at 'The Only Way is Blogging' event, but as I was still in cast, I thought I'd better not be wandering around London. I was gutted to have not made it, but the weekend turned out to be pretty fab! I just wished I lived closer to my friends and saw them more often!

Hope everyone had a good weekend - what did you get up to?

Glossybox #6

Bright and early this morning there was a knock at the door and there was my postman holding this months Glossybox! I think he was a bit shocked at how quick I snapped it out of his hands but I was very excited to see what was inside my pretty pink box and it definitely did not disappoint!

On first look, I'm loving all the products I received and loved that there was a bonus product - very kind of you Glossy Ladies! I've had a quick play with some of the dermalogica products and they're definitely something I'll be giving a go - I've wanted to try dermalogica for a long while so here's the perfect opportunity!

What did you get in your Glossybox?

I'm currently loving...

I'm sure you've all seen 'favourites' video's on YT and posts on blogs with monthly favourites and I wanted to join in - but I can't guarantee that I will post monthly (I use a lot of the same products all the time, so not sure if I can guarantee there will be different products every month) so I've decided to post about what I'm currently loving!

So on to the products...

Liz Earle Superskin Moisturuser

As the weather hasn't got a clue what it wants to do at the moment neither does my skin (thanks Mr Weatherman) but this moisturiser has really saved me! My skin type is pretty normal but during the winter, I do suffer quite a bit with dry patches but I've had this moisturiser on my bedside table and have been slathering it on every night and so far, my skin is doing pretty well - thank you Liz Earle!

VO5 Miracle Concentrate

I think this has become a cult product in the beauty world and quite rightly so - it's bloomin amazing! I can't believe how much of this I still have left, I feel like I've had it for so long! When I was on holiday in Oz, I took the opportunity to stop using any heat on my hair and I've continued with this since coming home and I can really tell when I haven't used this is my hair - it really helps keep my hair looking smooth and soft rather than frazzled and fluffy!

17 Beehive Lipstick

I have mentioned before my love for Beehive and this month I have been using it none stop. I love how creamy it is-definitely need to stock up!

Ruby & Millie Eyelash curlers

I have extremely straight eyelashes and absolutely hate metal eyelash curlers with a passion - I just can't use them! I find them painful! But I found these in the bottom of my make-up drawer and thought I'd give them a go and now I'm wondering why I stopped using them in the first place! I bought these years ago with one of the £5 vouchers Boot's do all the time so I'm not sure if they still do them, but if they do-I'd definitely recommend giving them a go if, like me, you don't like metal curlers!

What are you loving at the moment?

Stir in hot chocolate

What more can I say - totally amazing!

Stir in to 200ml of hot milk to make your own hot chocolate (I tend to stir a bit and then like the spoon hehe)!

Weekend 039

I haven't done one of these in a while now, mainly because I went away on holiday and then after coming back, haven't really been up to much! The first few weekends back I actually did nothing - the jet lag really did hit me hard and it took me such a long while to get back to normality, plus being in a cast really does limit my ability to get out and about at the moment!

Anyway, I really wanted to get a post up and get my weekend posts back on track so here goes!

Friday: The bf had a night out planned which mean I had an evening in on my lonesome to catch up on some very dearly missed tv including Gossip Girl, Desperate housewives & Glee! I love it that tv has started up again - is that sad of me?

Saturday: After having a lazy day (which was unexpected as I was supposed to be wedding dress shopping with my friend, but that got cancelled last minute) I spent the evening out with the family at the Royal Court Theatre Liverpool watching 'You'll Never Walk Alone'. It's the little bro's birthday at the end of the month and this was my little treat to him as he's a massive LFC fan - me not so much, but the performance was amazing and I did actually enjoy myself.

Sunday: Today consisted of a brilliant lie-in and an afternoon of watching this week's celebrity masterchef - is it me, or can the majority of the celebrities not cook this year? The weather has consisted of rain and glum skies where I live today and I'm loving it so the day has been curled up under a blanket with a cuppa and the Next Christmas catalogue (Oh yeah!) - I have my fingers crossed this ridiculous indian summer has gone - I want autumn/winter and the chance too take out my chunky knits and new riding boots!

I'm going to end a lovely chilled out weekend watching the Xfactor! Hope you've all had a fab weekend too!
