Weekend #9

Well hello there, remember me? Maybe? Well, I've been away for a little bit - as I mentioned in my last post, I was having some personal issues, which, to be honest, went from bad to worse, but I've really missed writing posts (even though I don't do loads and loads) and I thought it may do me some good to get back in to the swing of things! So, here goes with my standard weekend post...

Friday: Friday evening was spent driving down South for a weekend with my Uni girls-recently, these girls have really shown me how lucky I am to have them in my life, they really are just amazing and I love spending time with them! The 3hr drive wasn't too bad this time round as the weather was just gorgeous, I event got the sunglasses out!

Saturday: This morning was spent lounging around have a lovely relaxed morning, something we don't often do when we visit each other, there's always something that we're doing but it was nice just to sit back for a little, which was probably needed after the week I'd had! Then, the others arrived, including THE most gorgeous little man ever, my little godson! He's the first baby in our group and he is just brilliant (and that's coming from someone who has never really liked children)! We spent the afternoon having a spot of lunch at a local garden centre before having a brown of their fabulous displays, including this amazing little hobbit house *I want*!

The evening was spent having a quick few in the pub, which ended quite embarrassingly for me! I'm not a drinker, and haven't had an alcoholic drink since October, so I quietly sat there with my diet coke. When leaving the pub, I managed to completely miss the kurb and nearly fall into the oncoming car, which just happened to be a Police car - I can't begin to tell you how utterly embarrassed I was! I really am an idiot! After a few words, he let us go on our way, assured that I was just clumsy but honestly, only me!
The evening was very chilled with a homecooked dinner and chatter of babies, mortgage and tales of 'back in the day' - we're definitely getting old!

Sunday: After a lovely big breakfast this morning, it was time to head back up North-it's always sad leaving the group, but next time we catch up will be my birthday -YEY!

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend! Hopefully I am back now, I have a few posts I want to get out so we'll see how my week goes, I'm going to just takes things slow for a little bit!

  1. Oh no, how unfortunate to fall anyway let alone into the path of a police car! :( Hope you are ok! xxx
