Weekend #17

What did you get up to this weekend? I had a very fun filled weekend with so much laughter-my belly muscles hurt I laughed so much! I hope you all had a lovely one!

On to what I got up to...

Friday: Tonight was a busy night! Finished work early (which would usually be a fun thing) but this time, it was to head off back to the car dealers to get some new fog lights (exciting I know) on my pretty little car-she now had shiny new lights and looks even more pretty! Then it was back to my hairdresser friends who was using heated rollers in my hair for the very first time-I'm in search of the perfect way to make beautiful loose curls (by next Sunday I may add)! Once all curled up, it was time to head over to my friends to do last minute list making ready for Hen Party #2 tomorrow night!

Saturday: Up bright and early to go and pick out new carpet for my dressing room (and turns out the lounge too) and then in to town to pick up the items needed to make tonight's Hen Party a brilliant success! If you read last week's post, you'll have read all about the disaster that Hen Party #1 was and we decided that the Bride deserved to have a Hen Party she could actually remember so we planned a night full of delicious food, mocktails, Mr & Mrs, pin the crown on the jewels and so much more! Considering there was no alcohol involved in the night, it was absolutely brilliant - we even had an extremely rude blow up doll, who made for a very dodgy passenger (and gave me multiple heart attacks at the prospect of being pulled over with it in my passenger seat)!

Arrival Drinks (complete with popping candy) - Wedding dress game - Candy Floss - On the way home

Sunday: Today was a day for relaxing - after such a busy weekend, planning, organising and enjoying, it was time to sit back and relax with copious amounts of tea and Crazy, Stupid, Love (I would highly recommend the film & not just to drool over Ryan Gosling for an hour and half)!

All in all, a very busy weekend indeed, and next week won't be much different!

Let me know what you got up to this weekend?

Xen-Tan Fake Tan Friday

Last night whilst on Twitter, I noticed a thread between Lucy and Xen-Tan and I was automatically drawn in.

I am a big fan of Xen-Tan, as I'm sure many of you are too and when I saw that they were doing a promotion with Saks for spray tans for only £15 I wanted in! Unfortunately for me, living in North Wales with nothing around (i.e. department stores) I'm not going to be lucky enough to take advantage, but I thought I'd share with all you lovelies in case you were able to!

So basically, Saks Hair & Beauty has partnered with Xen-Tan, famous for its award winning sunless tans, for this special offer: £15 (usual RRP is £25) for a Hand-Applied or Spray Tan every Friday at participating salons all summer long.

Obviously, it's only valid on Friday's (hence the fake tan friday) until 30th September. To take advnatage of Fake Tan Friday you'll need to visit to download your personal voucher (you'll need to take this along to the salon with you). To find your nearest Saks salon offering Xen-Tan, please visit

Now, I don't know about you, but I think this is a fantastic offer and I'm gutted that I don't have a Saks nearby, but hopefully you do and you will be beautifully bronzed all summer long! Me, I'll just have to stick to buying the bottles and attempting to be a bronzed goddess (ha!) all by myself.

Let me know if you use the offer!

Weekend #16

Before I start on this weekend, I know I missed last weekend - I had, well, one of those weekends and quite a few personal issues to sort out which I didn't feel like sharing. I hope you don't mind. I do share a lot on here, and I love sharing things with you guys, but I think some things can be kept back, if you get what I mean.

Anyway, on to this weekend:

Friday: I had today off - yesterday was the bf's birthday so I decided to make a long weekend of it. Today wasn't quite the relaxing day I was hoping for though - I spent most of the day shopping (for food) and cleaning.
My evening however, was much better - off I toddled round to my friends house to try on my bridesmaid dress - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm rather excited! There will be 7 of us on the day - it's going to be manic! The dress is lovely, much much better than I imagined and now I just can't wait for the day!

Saturday: Well today started off lovely-in 2 weeks time, one of my friends get's married and today was the hen do! I knew she was getting her nails/lashes/hair done so I surprised her with bucks fizz & brownies and a good old natter before the big night! Then it was back home to preen myself and head on out to meet the rest of the hens! From there, the night went downhill :( the planning of the night from her bridesmaids wasn't the best-we didn't have a clue what we were doing, then we got on a coach and they decided to fill the bride-to-be with copious amounts of champagne & sambuca shots which means that she didn't make it off the coach in any fit state to enjoy her evening. We spent the next hour in the toilets of the bar we were in for a cocktail class so we decided to take her home! So the bf came and picked her and I up and we took her home and tucked her up in bed. I spent the rest of the evening in my pj's with pizza hut-didn't turn out too badly!

Me & one of the hen's with the singapore sling we made!

Sunday: After last night's shenanigans, I have spent today just relaxing with copious amounts of tea - I honestly believe that someone should invent tea on tap, it would make my life so much easier! Not very exciting, but very much needed!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and had lots of fun whatever you got up to!

Neutral Blazer

The blazer trend is all over the place at the moment and I love it! I have plenty of blazers that I have acquired over the years, that I really don't NEED another blazer, but I really wanted a nude/neutral blazer to add to my collection.

I really wanted the Primark blush blazer that Amy posted about, but typically, I couldn't find anything in my local Primark, or any other for that matter. But, whilst perusing my local Matalan, I came across this little beauty!

Matalan - Jersey Blazer Stone
It's a lovely neutral colour with coral turn-ups on the cuffs (they also do it in coral with neutral turn-ups)! I think this will be perfect for the spring/summer (if it bloomin stays that is-what is going on with the weather?)! It's a jersey material but it's not too heavy at all-will be perfect for evening times when it's a bit chillier!
And best of all, it was only £16! Bargain price!

Weekend #14

So I decided to make this a long weekend post to go with the lovely long weekend we've had! My weekend is actually going to be one day longer as I'm also off tomorrow too-cannot wait :)

Friday: Today was supposed to be an early morning to make the most of the bank holiday, but, I overslept (oops), but it's the holidays! Me and the little bro headed in to Chester for a stroll and a cheeky shop-Primark has so many good things in at the moment I just can't resist! The rest of the day was spent chilling out and catching up with some old friends-lovely!

Saturday: I was all on my own today so decided to get in my pretty little car and head on out for a drive! The weather unfortunately was a bit pants, but my destination of Betws-y-Coed was just as lovely as always! It's one of my favourite places in North Wales-if you're ever here, I'd highly recommend a visit!
The evening was spent with one of my besties who I haven't seen in such a long time! It was so lovely to catch up and meet her new boyfriend!

One of the lovely waterfalls at Betws-y-Coed

Sunday: Happy Easter everyone! I actually didn't get any eggs at all today :( I actually bought my own mini eggs (pretty sad really)! Anyway, today was spent doing absolutely nothing-I'm really taking this whole relaxing bank holiday to the extreme! I spent most of the day catching up on YT video's whilst the bf watched football!

Monday: Now today has been eventful! One of my best friends lives on a farm and as I'm sure you're aware, it is lambing time so I spent today, with the bestie and the other bestie, up at the farm helping to bring some lovely little lambs in to the world! It was a very dramatic day with having to pull a lamb out (it got stuck), a premature lamb being born (who we've named Pixie as she was so small) and just general lambing goings on! I love going up to the farm, and today did not disappoint! I'm going to finish off the weekend with a well deserved takeaway and plenty of tea - oh how rock n roll I am!

I do have tomorrow off too (yup, I really took advantage of the long weekend) and will be off for a roadtrip through North Wales with the bestie before she heads back to London.

Hope you've all enjoyed the bank holiday weekend too and had lots of fun!

I moustache you a question...

Are you fan of moustache's too? I have such a thing for moustache themed items at the moment-since last summer whilst I was away in Oz and we managed to get some moustache props for some pictures, I just seem to be drawn to anything with a moustache-anyone else or is that just me?

My latest addition to my moustache craze is a jumper and I wanted to share with you all as I just love it so much!

This makes me giggle so much!

It is a lovely cream jumper from Missguided and was a bargainous price of only £22.99! It's perfect for spring/summer evenings as it's quite a lightweight jumper, so perfect for throwing on during the chilly evenings!

Bit of a silly post really but wanted to share :)

I am sure you're all aware of the Revlon Lip Butters that recently launched in the UK (if not, where have you been?). These have been out in the US for a while now, and after seeing them all over blogs/youtube channels, it was a given that once launched, I would be spending my time stalking my local Boots/Superdrug waiting for their arrival!

Well, what a job I had trying to find these little buggers-I looked all over and ended up getting them from my local store, the one place I chose to look in last thinking there'd be no chance they'd stock them in such a small store, but stock them they did (only 7 of the 14 shades available in the UK, but beggers can't be choosers)!

Now if you don't know what lip butters are, then they're basically a mix between a lipstick and a lip-balm, so they'll give colour but also be moisturising. The colour pay off is very sheer, so do not expect a lipstick type colour otherwise you'll be disappointed. For me, this is perfect-I'm not one for colour on my lips (I should be more adventurous but I'm not unfortunately) so a nice sheer colour is just what I need!

I picked up 3 colours: Peach Parfait [25], Cotton Candy [45] & Strawberry Shortcake [80] - they were on 3 for 2 in Boots (which is actually across pretty much everything at the moment) so I HAD to have 3 and they costs £7.99 each.

L-R: Peach Parfait, Cotton Candy, Strawberry Shortcake

I only picked these up on Saturday, so can't really give a full-on review, but my initial thoughts on them are that I like them! I've mentioned before that I'm not good with lipsticks-I have horribly dry lips that, when applied with lipstick just look cakey-and no-one wants to see that on anyone, so the sheerness of these is just perfect. I do think that they're moisturising-they feel lovely when applied. I like the packaging a lot-I like that the colour of the tube is similar to that of the lipstick-makes it a little easier to pick my colour in the morning!

So far so good! What's your thoughts on the lip butters? Worth the hype? I like them, but I'm not sure they are worth the hype that went with them in all honesty! But definitely worth a try if you're in to this kind of thing!

Weekend #13

Friday: My Friday wasn't as chilled out as usual unfortunately! I spent the evening catching up on last week's Britain's Got Talent waiting for the bf's call to go and pick him up from the station from 'after work drinks'. The text came at 10pm which, I actually thought was quite early, but quickly turned in to a very late night after he fell asleep on the train, missed his stop and ended up miles away, cue me having to drive around to pick up a very drunkered bf! Ah well, we've all done something like that! Luckily, I wasn't too miffed and found it quite hilarious!

Saturday: This morning rewarded me with a very much needed lie-in! It's been a very long week in work and I needed to have some sleep time! After pottering around the house for a bit, I took my pretty new car off to get washed (yeah, I know, I've only had her a week, but trust me, this won't keep up)! Then it was time to pop the gladrags on (or just something fancier than my joggers) and head on out for a Saturday night Curry! We tried a new place and it was delicious, and, I even got a rose from them-definitely returning there!

Sunday: Today was a lovely day! I headed on in to Liverpool to meet up with the lovely Roisin. We've been chatting away for so long on Twitter now and have planned to meet in the past but something always came up but today we finally met in person! I love how being a part of this community has led to making some truly lovely friends and I just hope I can meet many more of you! We had a lovely day mooching around Liverpool - with an obligatory cuppa in the John Lewis cafe a la Louise aka Sprinkle of Glitter and a little while in Primark (it is massive)! It really was a lovely day and we already have our next outing planned which I can't wait for!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend too and hope this week is a good'un (bank holiday weekend to look forward to YEY!!)
