A welcome break

So, I've not been around in a while – I’m sorry. To be honest, I don’t know what happened, I didn't plan on taking a break, but I think I lost my mojo and then even though I wanted to come back and say hey to you all, I didn't know where to start.

But I am back and I have some idea’s that I want to get down on paper (or typed on a screen) so hopefully I’m back and sticking around for a bit – if that’s ok with you?

So I thought I'd come back with something easy and share a few snaps I took whilst away on a very welcome break in France! The bf and I had some time off at the same time so took full advantage of having a family cottage over in Brittany and drove ourselves over for a week!

We took the option of driving - we quite like a long drive somewhere, and living where we do, gave us just that - 5hrs down to Dover, then another 5 hours once we arrived in Calais to the cottage, but it was lovely to see some countryside!

We spent the week just pottering around - we had no plans, no itinerary, nothing, just a car and the pair of us!

We headed to some coastal towns, enjoyed trying out the patisseries and sampling all the wonderful cakes! It was my mission to try macarons from every patisserie we came across (which is well worth all the lbs I have put on in a week) and have croissants every morning! I also managed to sneak in a little french pharmacie stop (difficult not to when they're everywhere)!

Enough rambling, I shall leave you with some lovely pictures from the week away and will speak to you all very soon indeed!
