My thoughts: John Frieda Frizz Ease*

So I have to admit, I'm not very picky when it comes to hair care - I usually just pick up whatever's on offer (unless it's Aussie-my scalp does not agree with any of their products unfortunately).

I was offered the chance to try out a few of the John Frieda Frizz Ease products and have been using them for the last few weeks. I've used the John Frieda Sheer Blonde products before so knew that my little scalp should be fine with these products.
I'm very lucky (or lazy, which ever way you want to look at it) and only need to wash my hair once or twice a week-my hair very rarely gets greasy so if I don't have to wash my hair, I won't (lazy, that's what I am). Saying that, I have had these products a few weeks because I wanted to give them a good few go's before I wrote anything about them - otherwise, what would I have to say???

I was sent 3 products - the Smooth Start Lissage Anti-frizz hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner and the Straight Fixation Smoothing Creme. I don't really suffer much with frizzy hair as you would first think of frizzy hair, but I do have quite damaged hair from bleaching it so much (oh the joys of being blonde-or bottle blonde) so don't have the smooth straight hair I would like, so was looking forward to see if this made any difference to my 'frizzyness'.

Shampoo & Conditioner:

I've used the shampoo and conditioner combo quite a few times now and I'm liking both products. They have a very lovely scent (I really do rate a product on their scents-I hope I'm not the only one). The shampoo lathers pretty well - I love a good lather from a shampoo, nothing worse than massaging a shampoo in to your hair and nothing really happens! They state they're hydrating and I wouldn't say they're not, but I didn't necessarily notice a huge difference in my hair-but as I mentioned before I have bleached hair so it's quite dry. I'm not saying it didn't hydrate my hair, but it wasn't any kind if miracle worker.

Smoothing Creme:

Now the smoothing creme is definitely my favourite product out of these 3. I'll be completely honest, I started using this without actually reading the back at all and was using it before I straightened my hair, so on dry hair  but since then, have read the directions on the back and it's supposed to be used on wet/damp hair before styling. Both ways work in helping to smooth my hair down and getting rid of any fly-away frizzy bits and keeping them at bay during the day but I suppose using it on wet/damp hair is probably best and gives the heat protection a better chance to work especially as I blow-dry then straighten my hair.

I like this product a lot and will probably re-purchase. A little goes a long way, I use about a small pea sized amount before I blow-dry, but I have used it a few times in the evening just to give a quite smoothing before heading out for dinner (which has worked really well and doesn't leave my hair looking greasy).
Again, the smell is very nice, doesn't last too long but I have been able to smell it every now and then as the day goes on.

Have you tried any of the Frizz Ease range? What are your favourite products? If you're interested in giving them a go, you can find them on their website (click here).

Celebrating Love

Well hello there lovely readers - long time no type! I've been a busy little bee of late (hence my silence) but I have just got back from a truly wonderful break and wanted to share with you some of my tales!

This weekend, of my bestest friends stood in front of her nearest and dearest and married the love of her life and it was just perfect!

We all headed down to Cornwall (my first ever trip) for a weekend full of love, happiness and lots of tears! I've said this before but these girls truly mean the world to me and spending time with them really is one of my most treasured past times.

We stayed together in a lodge in the middle of the Cornish woods and enjoyed getting each other ready for what turned out to be one of the most special days in our 10 year history!

I opted to get my hair done professionally - I had it in my head how I wanted it (thanks pinterest) and knew I would never be able to achieve it! It turned out perfectly, exactly how I wanted it and I felt so pretty!

Then there was the ceremony and our first glance at the most beautiful bride. She had kept her dress a secret from us so it was a real surprise on the day which inevitably ended in a few (a fair fair few) tears from our pews!

Now, the reception was a good old hour and half away from the ceremony but that didn't matter when we got to travel in style on a very quaint old fashioned London double-decker bus - their London twist to their Cornish wedding! With prosecco flowing and wonderful views, the journey wasn't nearly half as bad.

Then we arrived at the wonderful setting of Mount Edgecumbe - what a setting! We arrived to more prosecco and scones -just what was needed! After enjoying the surroundings, we settled down to speeches first, which in a nutshell, we're slightly traumatic! I'm a weeper to say the least so when the Bride took to the floor first, I was already a goner. But when she gave a special mention to us girls that was it, the table lost it and there were sobs, uncontrollable sobs!

Once composed we enjoyed a delicious dinner and spent the evening dancing the night away!

It really was a wonderful wedding, topped off with a truly spectacular walk through the Cornish valley the following day!

I'm now curled up on the sofa enjoying the extra day off (it was a very long day of travelling home yesterday) reminiscing about the past few days!
